WIP Wednesday: Sugar Cube Swatch Failure

So I’m literally into swatch 4 (i’ve skipped some basic stitches like moss stitch) and alas I am already having problems. The Vogue Stitchionary is arranged from easiest to hardest and here I am having problems with one of the first few patterns. The best part is that I thought, “this has to be easy, it’s just some knits and some purls”. Arrgh, it looks nothing like what it’s supposed to look like. I did what every modern knitter does and I googled the pattern, found a variation on the Lionbrand website and tried it again. Frustration. I think I know what I am doing wrong (although suggestions are welcome), and will try it again once I get past being upset. I guess I am not as much of an advanced beginner as I thought, just because I can make socks and hats doesn’t mean I can read a simple pattern!

On other news, the Blue Scarf for La Madre is just a few inches away from being done but I ran into a bump because I am sick with a cold and haven’t had much energy to knit!

Don’t feel bad. Just try to figure out what you did wrong, and try again. And if that doesn’t work… blame the pattern! 😀
